lot 7: More and better skilled staff for the Egyptian tourism sector

On the job training/practical training

Team OJT (“On the job training”) addresses the need for modern and cost efficient on-the-job trainings in the Egyptian tourism sector. The OJT Program is a needs-oriented, customizable support system with an intense 2-day OJT workshop as an on-the-ground centrepiece of the service. Users benefit from the program’s library of Virtual Reality training content, which complements the on-the-job training method or can be used as a standalone solution. A further advantage is the follow-up program that successively provides users with additional training materials assuring a sustainable implementation. Improving training measures without continuously occupying time and staff resources the program addresses companies from the hospitality sector with low to no training infrastructure.

The next steps of the team include designing the workshop and the IT platform, developing the training contents and testing the feasibility of integrating virtual reality technology.
