Our mentors

The lab of tomorrow's mentors are specialist experts in different areas, e. g. branding, innovation, business development. During the incubation phase, they support the venture teams in further developing their business solutions. In continuous mentoring sessions the venture teams receive professional advice and orientation to turn their business model sketches into profitable market-ready businesses.

Barbara Diehl

Barbara Diehl is a proven expert in entrepreneurship, innovation and education. As a consultant, she works with researchers on scientific ideas, conveys entrepreneurial thinking and transfers ideas into concrete business models.

Barbara was responsible for Europe’s largest “Science in Society” forum, before moving to the UK and Ireland where she worked, among others, for the Entrepreneurship Centre at Oxford University. At Oxford, she led early-stage investment programmes and an executive education programme for fast-growing small businesses. She was also a member of investment committees of various seed investment funds.

Barbara’s particular strength: she can give learners the confidence to develop their creative and entrepreneurial skills. 

Dominik Krabbe

Dominik is a strategy and innovation consultant with several years of experience in international open innovation and digital transformation projects. His focus lies on user-centered innovation methods, foresight and creating strong value propositions. He is also founding partner of the Berlin-based brand strategy agency GLDN.

Magnus Schückes

Magnus combines science and entrepreneurship. He conducts research on innovation, digital technologies, and hybrid organizations - such as social enterprises - that have to embrace multiple yet oftentimes paradoxical demands and goals. He is a business model and lean start-up coach and co-founder of Elona Health - a digital health startup with a focus on digitalizing outpatient psychotherapy.

Ralph Riecke

Ralph is an expert on Early Stage Investments and Corporate Innovation Initiatives via startups, with working experience on both sides. Before becoming a freelance consultant, Ralph was, amongst others, a Senior Investment Manager at hub:raum, the incubator of Deutsche Telekom. There he was responsible for identifying, selecting and investing in the best startups to the Incubator. He has 15+ years of professional experience in investments, as well as digital business development, management consulting and sales. He is a University tutor and and active mentor for startup programs like Techstars, Google, kitchentown Berlin.

Jonathan Lehmann

Jonathan is experienced in Start-Up and Innovation/HCD in diverse fields. He has supported Zalando’s strategy team as business acceleration lead and developed the French market with a strong focus on operations. Jonathan also drove innovation for the UN’s World Food Program where he was responsible for projects on blockchain for logistics and supply chain, agri-tech for smallholder farmers, and global connectivity and Machine Learning in the context of refugee relief work in the Middle East and Africa. He currently works as a Senior Venture Architect for the Boston Consulting Group Digital Ventures in Berlin.
