Wazima Health: Integrated digital screening tele-health platform

Wazima Health is a health tech company  providing accessible integrated remote monitoring and diagnostics Telemedicine & health management solution for point of care screening for early diagnosis, care and triage.

The venture provides the telemedicine technology that connects their point-of-care telemedicine stations to healthcare providers serving primary and specialty care in community, occupational and remote locations. Thereby the provide convenient access to early diagnosis and appropriate care for users with various Non-Communicable Diseases, women's health and acute health challenges. Moreover, Wazima Health provides localised affordable remote access to health screening for early diagnosis and follow up care and triage by primary and secondary healthcare providers.

To date, over 300,000 patients have been served, with over 150,000 screenings and 65,000 referrals. Wazima is especially proud that 64% of users are women. Currently, Wazima has established operations in Nigeria and Mozambique, with a pilot project in Ghana in progress. At these locations, Wazima provides employment to 20 core staff members and thus creates employment opportunities locally.
